Why not warm it up?

While I am all for a clean, modern look I am also an eclectic at heart and that means I need the warmth factor. Yes minimalistic spaces are all the rage right now, but remember the key word in there my friends..."right now". Though some do consider this style classic and I do appreciate that as well.

That being said, one of my favorite things to do with design, to warm a space up, is to throw something vintage into a stark environment, instantly making it welcoming, giving it the warmth it really needs. One of my favorite vintage items to use is a rug. There are so many gorgeous ones out there, and of course not all of them break the bank. Wether you want to go high end and splurge on a Doris Leslie Blau or you simply can't so you search for something more attainable say from Etsy. It all works, it's just about searching, being patient and finding the exact right one.

There is something vintage out there for everyone, trust me.
